Instagram strikes back at the Clubhouse app: Audio rooms are coming to us
News - Mar 19, 2021
Reels hasn’t used properly yet, and Instagram is already preparing a new blow: this time it responds to the increasingly popular Clubhouse app. Clubhouse is, as we have already written, an application that is based exclusively on audio recordings, such as, say, TikTok based on short video forms.
Instagram landed TikTok with the “Reels” option, and now, according to experts, it is preparing a new blow: audio rooms.
According to the first allegations, the “host” will be able to add the users he wants to these rooms during the live session. also, the rooms are designed so that communication within them is done exclusively through audio recordings.

As a reminder, Facebook started merging chat from Instagram and Messenger last year, allowing users to use either of the two apps to connect with contacts.
Instagram has long been known for “hits” on the application trend, as it successfully copies some popular format and implements it in its options. Reels is only the last in a series, and it was created as a response of the network to the increasingly popular TikTok.
