Jeep withdraws ad with Bruce Springsteen because of scandal

News - Feb 22, 2021

Quickly after the legendary musician Bruce Springsteen surprised fans worldwide by appearing in a commercial for the first time in its almost 60-year long career, the ad for a vehicle was withdrawn because of scandal, since Springsteen was arrested last November because of drunk driving.

On November 14, the musician was taken to custody and received three charges since then: DUI, reckless driving and alcohol consumption at a location where it is not allowed.

The singer, who has never shot an ad before, surprised everyone with the Jeep commercial at the Super Bowl.

In the ad, the singer travels across the Middle West and tell Americans that he ‘sees hope on the road’, inviting them to overcome mutual disagreements.

After the arrest-related news broke out, Jeep withdrew the ad.
