Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana is seeking astronomical compensation from two bloggers

Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana filed a defamation lawsuit in an Italian court demanding $ 600 million in damages from two American fashion bloggers who published anti-Asian comments attributed to one of the designers, which led to a mass boycott of Asian consumers when it comes to the brand.
The subject of the lawsuit dates back to November 2018, when the company Dolce & Gabbana began to boycott in Asia because of what were considered culturally insensitive videos promoting a fashion show in Shanghai and posting insulting comments that followed on a private Instagram chat.
The show was canceled and retail stores withdrew the Dolce & Gabbana brand from their offer and celebrities from Asia gave up on the brand.
The creators Domenico Doce and Stefano Gabbana first said that Gabbana’s account was hacked, but later they appeared in the video and apologized to the Chinese people.
According to the defender of the blogger, the fashion house is asking for 450 million euros to regain the brand’s image from 2018, and another three million euros for the company and one million euros for Gabbana, to which inappropriate statements have been attributed.
It is also asking for more than 86 million euros for the cancellation of the show in Shanghai, 8.6 million euros for staff costs and 89.6 million euros for lost sales in Asia from November 2018 to March 2019.
Since they published information about this lawsuit, the Diet Prada blog, which has more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram, has raised more than $ 38,000 for the defense.
