Google Photos will no longer offer unlimited free storage space
News - Nov 16, 2020
Google Photos is one of the most popular online cloud backup solutions, because it offers free and unlimited storage space for photos and videos. However, as of June 01, 2021, all users will be limited to 15 GB of space.
Google announced it on its blog, where the company underlines the following:
– Starting June 1, any files uploaded to Google Photos will be counted towards the 15 GB default storage that you get with every new Google account or additional storage space a user purchased as a Google One member…
On the other hand, the company emphasizes that every high-quality photo or video uploaded by June 01 next year will not be included in the 15 GB free space.
It means that users will not lose all photos and videos added to Google Photos instantly due to the changes.
