No matter what you do, you cannot escape screens today. However, many people look at them when there is no need for it. Surveys have shown that an average person from the Balkans spent up to six hours a day in front of TV, mainly watching news program. TV N1 experienced a huge leap of a viewership rate, while TV RTS dominated by far.

It is not surprising, bearing in mind that the period was marked by the state of emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic, so we mainly spent time at home.

If you think that these numbers are high, results for America was even more shocking.

According to a survey conducted by Vision Direct, an average adult in the USA spends up to 44 years watching various screens during his or her life.

The survey shows that an average American spends 6259 hours a year glued to various screens, including cca 4.5 hours a day in front of TV, nearly 5 hours in front of a computer, slightly more than 3 hours in front of various gaming devices, and 4.5 hours in front of smartphones.

With all this combined, an average American spends up to 17 hours a day in front of a screen.

The fact that 75 percent of respondents say that they would be lost without their devices definitely raises concern.
