The fashion giant H&M’s radical move: Clothes renting and repair
News - Mar 10, 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entire world, and Sweden’s fashion giant H&M is no exception.
The flagship store of this fashion company at the central square in Stockholm will be the first retail outlet that will be changed. In addition to selling clothes, it will also be the place for ‘fixing’ old or renting new clothes, where you can add patches to old trousers, rent dresses for parties, for instance.
As reported by the Jutarnji list daily, in-store beauty parlours are also being considered. Namely, Swedes want to invest in small crafts and support mini beauty parlours and mini sewer’s shops.
It is believed that this move will additionally strengthen the brand and that other fashion giants will follow in its steps in the future.
Hennes and Mauritz (H&M) reported that the first quarter of this year was much better than anticipated. Customers buy new garments online at least.
