We spend up to 43 percent more time with social media due to coronavirus

Agency We are Social and Hootsuite presented a revised report on all relevant stats figures, data and indicators of user behavior on SoMe platforms, digital and mobile communication channels worldwide. A focus is on the data about the COVID-19 crisis’ impact on media consumption and behavior on SoMe.
We spent up to 54 percent more time watching films and series via streaming services, 43 percent more time with SoMe, 42 percent more time with chat and messenger services, and 36 percent more time using mobile apps.
The data refer to the global population, with a deeper insight into 24 largest economies in the world: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the UK and the USA.
